Switzerland recorded a trade surplus of CHF 4.07 billion in September, slightly higher than the revised August figure of CHF 3.88 billion (previously reported at CHF 4.10 billion), according to data from the Federal Statistical Office.
Exports rose to CHF 23.972 billion (from CHF 18.907 billion previously), while imports increased to CHF 19.899 billion (from CHF 15.030 billion prior).
In real terms, exports were up 2.7% month-over-month, while imports grew 1.9%.
The modest expansion in the surplus reflects steady external demand and resilient trade activity heading into Q4.
